SDN slicing and orchestration of 5G resources for QoS and IoT optimization

The 5G architecture to date has largely focused on supporting the systems so as to enable 5G network slicing via SDN and NFV. Understanding and ensuring the quality of services (QoS) is one of the key factors in achieving an efficient network slicing. The main subject of the doctoral dissertation is related to the techniques towards the end-to-end slice management, in order to achieve service provision and robustness of 5G virtual services. Special emphasis will be given to the study of 5G NPN (NonPublic Networks) and how the slicing techniques are applied in these type of 5G networks, taking into account QoS requirements in critical use cases.
