The H2020 FocusLocus project, coordinated by the Integrated Systems Lab (ISL), organized the FocusLocus Info Day to present the REEFocus game system developed with the project as an alternative treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Desorder) in children.
The Infoday was well attended and raised a lot of interest from the scientific and clinical communities. A number of scientific papers were also related at the Infoday.
FocusLocus is an EU-funded H2020 project aiming at providing an innovative treatment method to assist children to overcome ADHD symptoms with the help of REEFOCUS, a digital game system developed within the project based on cognitive science and information technology research. Through an engaging gaming experience, REEFOCUS has been used to train and improve cognitive skills that are affected by ADHD. The REEFOCUS solution aspires to be an efficient and cost-effective alternative in ADHD treatment without the undesirable side-effects of currently established approaches (e.g. medication). This project is co-funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the European Union Grant Agreement No. 732375 (https://focuslocus.eu/).
