“Evolving with Science” is the theme this year for the Athens Science Festival 2016. For another year in a row, the Integrated Systems Laboratory of the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR «Demokritos» will participate in the Technopolis event at the Interactive Exhibition from the 6th through the 10th of April, from 09:00 till 14:00 on weekdays and 11:00 till 16:00 during the weekend. We welcome you to come interact, play, learn and get to know us!

The digital game iRescue with the use of the Kinect console is expected, for yet another year, to draw the attention and interest of both the young and adults.

The interactive 3D tour guide of the palace of Knossos “iGuide-Knossos” will travel visitors to places and eras in Bronze Age by linking the users personalized tour with video animation, hidden information hot spots, vocal descriptions & narrations and digital mini games.

Of course, since the evolution of science, just like imagination, has no limits, see how with only the power of your mind you can execute orders and move objects! Through EEG (electroencephalography) technology, ISL research associates will hold active demonstrations of distancing objects.

Finally, visitors interested in our educational summer camp “SMARTcamp”, in the fields of Robotics and Digital Arts, will have the opportunity to find out more information and have the chance to meet some of our teachers in person and see past students work.

Don’t forget to download the wayGoo application, Athens Science Festival 2016 edition developed by ISL, navigate around the areas of Technopolis and find out information regarding events, speakers, exhibitors and exhibition stands. Then use the wayGoo calendar to build your personalized itinerary for your visit at ASF and link it to your preferable on-line web-calendar.
