NCSR Demokritos is pleased to announce that ahedd the Digital Innovation Hub of NCSR Demokritos received a Silver i-Space label at the European Big Data Value Forum 2019 in Helsinki, Finland.
BDVA i-Spaces serve as European hubs for Big Data research and innovation activities. The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) grants a label for European Data Innovation Spaces to help drive forward Big Data adoption and AI based innovation across all domains within European industry. Every year, existing hubs can obtain a label as a “BDVA i-Space”, after an evaluation process based on a comprehensive criterion catalogue. The label is granted in three grades: Bronze, Silver and Gold. These grades are aligned with the maturity and potential impact of the candidates in five main domains: Excellence of Infrastructure, Quality of Services, Projects and sectors, Impact to Eco System and Business model.
The ahedd Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) is the first Greek DIH to receive such an award. Being part of a certificated European BDV i-Space community, ahedd has the opportunity to connect and collaborate with a federated innovation-driven network of leading European Digital Innovation Hubs; so as to better serve its purpose and drive change and Big Data Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IoT innovation, across various domains within the Greek industry.
This prize means:
- Being part of a certificated BDV-iSpace Label as quality billboard
- Increased visibility in EU Big-Data community, especially SMEs and innovative actors
- Possibility to connect and benchmark to other iSpace practices
- Access to European funding instruments to enable innovation and federation of existing i-Spaces
- Big-Data community recognition.
