The AI4Copernicus project made its debut to the Earth Observation community in Greece during the workshop Artificial Intelligence for big satellite data – Greece at the forefront of European research.
Project coordinator Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis, NCSR Demokritos presented what the project aims to achieve in the next three years. More specifically, the AI4Copernicus project aims to provide a digital environment for researchers and innovators, by integrating the AI4EU AI-on-demand platform with DIAS platforms thus making it a one-stop-shop for AI datasets in Europe.
The online workshop was organised by six leading Greek research institutions to showcase how Machine Learning can unlock the potential of Big Earth Observation Data for socio-environmental good.
