Dr. George Giannakopoulos, AI Researcher at the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications gave an online talk with titled Co-creating an AI-enabled software infrastructure to empower Natural Sciences, on Thursday 22 December. The talk was organised by NanoAI, an open platform supported by NCSR Demokritos, aiming to bridge the gap between natural sciences and artificial intelligence.
Short description: In this presentation the foundations of an endeavour to create a horizontally applicable software infrastructure is set, which aims to empower scientific research with and beyond NCSR “Demokritos”. The talk intends to illustrate the need, determine the main requirements of such a system, gather suggestions for use cases and set an indicative roadmap of implementation. The workshop is critical in identifying interest regarding this potential and its applicability to various scientific settings.
