On Friday 14 February 2020, SKEL lab researcher Dr. George Giannakopoulos, gave a talk at the 9th Student Conference Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Teenagers organised by the Holy Metropolis of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki.
More than 490 high school students from the wider prefecture of Attica and Crete participated at the conference and had the chance to learn about the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and reflect on the opportunities, challenges and changes that ΑΙ brings to our lives.
Dr. Giannakopoulos explained what AI is, pointed out its potential and limitations and concluded that humans are behind all forms of technology who have the responsibility to exploit AI according to their ethical principles and values.
