In the frame of the H2020 project DARE, researcher, Dr. Iraklis Klampanos (SKEL lab, NCSR Demokritos) and Christian Pagé, (CERFACS) co-organise the webinar DARE: A Workflow-as-a-Service Platform. Use Case demo Focusing on Climate and Atmospheric Sciences, on Friday 16 October, at 10.00-11.30 (CEST).
During the webinar, a demonstration of the main technical outcome of the DARE project, the DARE platform will take place. The platform enables the seamless development and reusability of high-level scientific workflows and applications, and the reproducibility of the experiments. It emphasises RESTful-based interaction to deliver Workflow-as-a-Service (WaaS) functionality and dynamic loading of execution contexts, therefore hiding significant technical complexity from the end users. The platform currently supports use cases from the domains of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. It is primarily intended to be used by research engineers and researchers.
This webinar aims to introduce the DARE project and platform to the wider ENES community via a use-case dealing with cyclone tracking. It will cover interacting with the platform in order to supplement your user-facing applications. The webinar will also include deployment instructions and a short hands-on session. A number of test accounts on an operational DARE installation will also be provided for limited time and use based on availability.
