The last kick-off meeting for 2021 took place on 1 December with project DRYADS. The project is funded under the European H2020 Green Deal call with the objective of setting a Holistic Fire Management Ecosystem for Prevention, Detection and Restoration of Environmental Disasters.
NCSRD participates in the project with ISL lab, scientific supervisor Dr Dimitris Kyriazanos, that will be applying crowdsourcing and ML-powered techniques for crisis management and prevention, decision support, simulation tools and mobile applications.

DRYADS is a successful cross-disciplinary collaboration case within NCSRD bringing IIT capabilities together with chemical analysis, air and environmental research from AirTec Lab – led by Dr Thomas Maggos- and Institute of Nuclear & Radiological Sciences and Technology, Energy & Safety (INRASTES).
