On Monday 21 November 2022, the Gender Equality Committee of NCSR Demokritos presented online to all NCSR Demokritos personnel the Gender Equality Plan (GEP)for 2022-2024. Invited speaker at the event was Prof. Maria Stratigaki, Αssociate Professor of Social Policy at Panteion University and President of the Greek Association of Academic Women (ELEGYP).

The participants were welcomed by Dr George Nounesis, Director & Chairman of the Board at NCSR Demokritos, while Dr Angeliki Tserepi, coordinator of the Gender Equality Committee presented an overview of the current status of gender equality at NCSR D, followed by the presentation of Prof M. Stratigaki titled 25 years of Gender Equality Policies in Research and Technology: European Union & Greece. The event continued with the presentation of the gender equality plan by Dr Maria Konstantopoulou, member of the Gender Equality Committee of NCSR D, and was followed up by a Q&A session between the participants and the presenters.

GEP 2022-2024 is a policy of NCSR Demokritos approved in May 2022, and has already been adopted by the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications. Find more information about the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) here.
