ICDAR2024, the International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition, took place in Athens between 30 August – 4 September 2024, with the main conference to have kicked off on Monday 2 September with General Chairs welcoming more than 400 participants.
The Organising Committee of the International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition:
- Vassilis Gatos – Head of the Division of Intelligent Information Systems, Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR Demokritos (Greece),
- Foteini Simistira Liwicki – Luleå University of Technology (Sweden),
- Vassilis Katsouros – Athena Research Center (Greece) | Institute for Language and Speech Processing,
along with the sponsors of the event, welcomed all participants to Athens for the 18th edition of ICDAR, the premier international event for scientists and practitioners involved in document analysis and recognition, a field of growing importance in the current age of digital transition.
The format of the conference was built upon best practices of previous ICDAR conferences and featured keynote talks, main track sessions, presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, side workshops and social events. The series of ICDAR conferences attracts more than 500 participants from the world over and is the meeting place for the community to come together.
