The traditional New Year’s cake cutting was different this year as it was realised virtually due to safety measures. Institute Director Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis welcomed more than 170 researchers and personnel on Tuesday 9 February 2021 for the 2020 Annual Report of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications.
During the event, Dr. Karkaletsis recapped 2020 highlighting the past year’s achievements, but also new research projects, collaborations with the industry and goals for the year ahead. At the end of the event, a lottery was held for all employees, for eight giveaways sponsored by IIT suppliers presented the new annual report of the year 2020 and announced the new research projects that start in 2021.
