On 16 June 2026, the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications (IIT), participated in the Agentic AI Conference 2026, organized by Boussias Events. Mr. Alexandros Nousias, AI Law, Governance & Ethics Lead at NCSR “Demokritos” and representative of the PHAROS: The Greek AI Factory, participated in the panel discussion “The Future Agentic Ecosystem”.
Panel Discussion: The Future Agentic Ecosystem
The panel explored the opportunities and governance challenges arising from the rapid evolution of Agentic AI systems. During the discussion, Mr. Nousias highlighted that while the EU AI Act establishes a comprehensive regulatory framework, compliance alone is not sufficient for increasingly autonomous AI systems. As AI agents continuously adapt, interact across multiple systems, and make decisions in dynamic environments, effective governance also requires robust evaluation methodologies, trustworthy infrastructures, and practical mechanisms that ensure transparency, accountability, and public trust.
Addressing the technical dimension of Agentic AI, he emphasized the growing importance of documenting and securing prompt-based control mechanisms. As prompts increasingly function as executable system logic, they should be treated as critical components of AI system design, supporting both secure development practices and compliance throughout the AI lifecycle.

The discussion also highlighted the role of the PHAROS: The Greek AI Factory, in supporting the development, testing, and deployment of trustworthy AI systems.
