The 56th Summer School of NCSR Demokritos took place from 12 to 16 July 2021 in hybrid mode this year. The talks and the round tables were held online however students had the opportunity to attend some events live at the main auditorium of NCSR Demokritos, in Ayia Paraskevi.
The Summer School is a historic educational activity of NCSR Demokritos which, for more than 50 years, organises free seminars, workshops, and matchmaking events for undergraduate and graduate students of the positive sciences (STEM) with technological direction.
Once more, the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications was actively involved in the Summer School, with Tuesday 13 July 2021 being dedicated to Informatics & Telecommunications. IIT organised the High Performance Computing (HPC), Quantum Computing & Edge Computing round-table, with the active participation of the EuroCC project, and the SingularityU Youth Event, in addition to many more researcher talks.
