The Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications (IIT) of NCSR Demokritos participated in the Athens Half Marathon, held on 8 March 2026, with its members joining the Demokritos Running Team.
The team counted a total of 60 participants across the Centre, including 25 from IIT. Among them, 3 runners completed the 21 km race, while the rest took part in the 5 km route.

The participation was coordinated by the Work Environment Office, supporting the organisation of the initiative and the involvement of Demokritos teams.

The event provided an opportunity for colleagues from across the Centre to participate in a common activity.
