The Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications (IIT) is pleased to welcome Dr Dimitrios Ouzounidis as the latest tenured researcher to be appointed at the Institute.

Dr Ouzounidis joined the Institute on 1st April, 2026, as a member of the Telecommunications division, strengthening its research activities in the field of telecommunications. During a brief ceremony, he gave his oath to Dr George Paliouras, Executive Director at the IIT, in the presence of Dr Vangelis Karkaletsis, Director and Chairman of the Board of NCSR Demokritos.

His research focuses on 5G and beyond communication systems, with an emphasis on analytical modeling of core networks and the application of machine learning methods for the delivery of user-centric services.
