ISL participates in the event “OPEN DAY NCSRD 2017: EXPLORING THE SCIENCE”, exhibiting the project PYRONES: PYRo-mOdelliNg and Evacuation Simulation system. This event is an initiative organized by the Special Service for Strategy, Planning and Evaluation, and the European Commission, aiming at promoting research projects that have been developed successfully.
On the 30th of May 2017 , between 5pm – 8pm , researchers involved in the development of the PYRONES project, will be in the Library room of NCSR “Demokritos” presenting how the system was developed and its usability. The PYRONES system pursues to offer innovation tools and services for 2 strategic market areas: The domain of building design and engineering, where PyroNES aims to be seamlessly integrated within existing engineering workflows and serve as a building performance assessment platform, able to evaluate fire protection systems. On another front, PyroNES will penetrate the building security management market, serving as a holistic training platform for stakeholders in evacuation strategy planning, fire fighting, first response and building occupancy both at a Command & Control and at an individual trainee level.
