On behalf of the Marine-EO Consortium, the Integrated Systems Laboratory organised the Info Day Webinar for the MARINE-EO Pre-Commercial Procurement Project. The webinar took place on Thursday 14 January 2021 and 253 participants were registered to attend the event.
MARINE-EO is the first Earth Observation(EO) Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) project funded by Horizon 2020. It started in January 2017 and is approaching its conclusion in January 2021. The project teams up a group of five maritime authorities and a group of four scientific and technical organisations with significant experience in EO and maritime matters to achieve maritime “Awareness” in the areas of Marine Environment Monitoring and Climate Change and Maritime Security.
The purpose of the MARINE-EO Info Day Webinar was:
● to present the outcomes of the MARINE-EO PCP project to stakeholders, public authorities and industry related to Maritime Awareness,
● to generate discourse and to receive feedback from the participants about the project’s methodology and the solutions that emerged from the implementation of the PCP,
● to bring together stakeholders in order to discuss the continuation of the MARINE-EO related activities after the end of the project.
