Media Networks Laboratory’s researcher, Dr Harilaos Koumaras, will participate in the DRONES 3S PROJECT: Security | Surveillance | Safety conference that will be held online on 27 and 28 January 2021. Dr Harilaos Koumaras will make a presentation regarding the testing of 5G drones in Athens, the results, challenges and next steps, during the first section of the conference, under the title Drones technologies: Challenges – Solutions and Applications. This section relates drone’s technology, as well as the 5G technology, with a wide scope of innovative applications, such as the inspection of infrastructure and facilities and the optimisation of agricultural production in the context of precision agriculture.
The conference DRONES 3S PROJECT, is organised by the companies Expoline and Smart Press that publishes Security Manager magazine, and is aiming to highlight the new methods, new directions, benefits and case studies coming from companies or organisations that have included drones in various applications, governmental and commercial domains and activities focusing on Security, Surveillance and Safety.
