A new Master’s Degree the MSc Quantum Computing & Quantum Technologies starts in October 2021, a collaboration between the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications, the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN) and the Democritus University of Thrace.
The postgraduate programme aims to introduce students to cutting-edge applications and research in the area of quantum computing and quantum technologies. Quantum computers and quantum technologies are at the core of the second quantum revolution, which is expected to have a significant impact on all sciences, in the industry as well as in health and everyday life.
The postgraduate students will use IBM’s quantum computers for coursework via the cloud, available through the “IBM Quantum Educators Program”. Students may access IBM Quantum systems for their dissertation research via the “IBM Quantum Researchers Program”. Graduates of the programme can pursue a career in the public or private sector or continue their studies towards a PhD Degree.
