Following the cross-Institutional collaboration namely NanoAI, initiated by the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of NCSR Demokritos and the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, SKEL | The AI Lab is expanding this initiative with a series of presentations regarding Nanotechnology and AI with an open platform aiming to bridge the gap between natural sciences and Artificial Intelligence.
In that context, every first Friday of the month, an AI specialist and a specialist collaborator from another scientific field, will present their work and scope of actions.
Already two presentations have taken place, on 2 April 2021 and on 7 May 2021 under the topic Molecular Simulations & Machine Learning in a materials design case study by Dr Stelios Karozis and Connecting structural and functional parameters through Machine Learning: The example of Surface Roughness Effects on Wetting Behavior by Antonis Stellas, respectively.
