NCSR Demokritos took part in the first Training event of HellasQCI, which was hosted at NTUA’s Central Library between 18-19 and 21-22 September 2023.
This engaging four day event was dedicated to Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Systems, Cybersecurity with QKD, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). The training that was provided during the event allowed comprehensive insight into these cutting-edge technologies.
On the final day, Dr. Homer Papadopoulos and his team from the Institute’s Knowledge Management Unit, guided participants through hands-on practice sessions and exercises. These valuable sessions demonstrated the processes for extracting keys from a QKD device, generating digital signatures with PQC algorithms, and encrypting files with PQC algorithms. Moreover, the team showcased how to perform computations on encrypted data without the need for decryption.
The event showed NCSR Demokritos’s strong dedication to moving forward in quantum computing and cryptography.
The HellasQCI project is coordinated by GRNET which operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
