The Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications is pleased to host the Final Event of the TREEADS Project on 27 May 2025, at the Demokritos permises in Athens, Greece.
Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, TREEADS (A Holistic Fire Management Ecosystem for Prevention, Detection and Restoration of Environmental Disasters) is a major European project involving 48 partners across Europe. It aims to develop an integrated and sustainable ecosystem for wildfire prevention, detection, response, and restoration.
The final event will highlight TREEADS’ most significant achievements, including innovations in wildfire risk assessment using AI, drone-assisted forest monitoring, and IoT-based post-fire restoration technologies. Attendees will have the chance to experience live demonstrations and engage in discussions about the future of wildfire resilience in Europe.
The event is an excellent opportunity for stakeholders, researchers, policy-makers, and the public to explore how TREEADS contributes to climate resilience and wildfire preparedness across Europe.
