The 1st Partnering for Patients Conference was completed with over 200 participants and the engagement of SKEL | The AI Lab, Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications. Dr Anastasia Krithara delivered the presentation How can we leverage innovative solutions in AI and Machine Learning? on Friday 28 May 2021 with information from the highly successful European research project iASiS.

iASiS researched how he medical sector can use Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to better understand the mechanism of cancer and thus confront the disease in a better manner. It is worth mentioning that the specific session consisted of women only, who are each leading innovation in their domains.

The Partnering for Patients Conference has invited leading speakers from Greece and Europe and representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, the European Medicines Agency, and the European Agency for Rare Diseases, to convey new developments in terms of strategy and planning for patient integration in decision-making centres.
