On Tuesday 11 February 2020, SKEL Lab researchers Dr. Anastasia Krithara and Dr. Xenia Ziouvelou  participated to the Student Day Conference: Inspiring Young Women in Science which was co-organised by Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and the Canadian Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.

As part of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 150 female high school students from Athens had the opportunity through talks and panel discussions to learn more about women scientists from STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

Our researchers participated at the fast-paced mentoring session along with 10 other female mentors aiming to inspire your women to follow scientific careers. The students were eager to set many questions about their personal stories and get advice on how they can create their own path into the fields of science.
