About the BDVA/DAIRO i-spaces

BDVA/DAIRO, is an industry-driven international not-for-profit organisation with more than 200 members all over Europe and a well-balanced composition of large, small, and medium-sized industries as well as research and user organizations. BDVA was the private counterpart to the EU Commission to implement the Big Data Value PPP program. Data Innovation Spaces (i-Spaces) are cross-sectorial innovation hubs that bring together data sources, AI-related technologies, competencies and all the technical and non-technical aspects needed to allow SMEs and start-ups to get their data-driven and AI-related services, products and applications quickly tested, piloted and exploited.

To recognise relevant data-driven initiatives in Europe aligned with this concept, BDVA / DAIRO launches every year an “Open labeling BDVA i-Spaces process” to help drive forward Big Data adoption and AI-based innovation across all domains within European industry.  The label is granted in three grades: Bronze, Silver and Gold, aligned with the maturity and potential impact of the candidates in five main domains: Excellence of infrastructure, Quality of Services, Projects and sectors, Impact to Eco System and Business model. During the European Big Data Value Forum 2019, held in Helsinki, ahedd was certified as a Silver BDVA i-Space.
