Anastasios Nentidis is an associate researcher in NCSR Demokritos since December 2015, involved primarily in the BioASQ competition, a series of challenges on large scale biomedical semantic indexing and question answering, and the iASiS project on big data for precision medicine. His background combines education and working experience in computer science and software engineering with specialization in applying methods and techniques from these fields in biological research. Since May 2018, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Informatics, in the field of knowledge discovery from biomedical data. He holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Biology, since 2014 and a BSc in Informatics from Athens University of Economics and Business since 2010.
