Evangelos Michelioudakis holds a diploma and a MSc in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete. During his undergraduate studies he worked along the Kouretes RoboCup team, where he completed his thesis on Multi-Robot Coordination for the RoboCup Standard Platform League under the supervision of Associate Professor Michail G. Lagoudakis. Afterwards, he joined the graduate program of Electronics and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete and started working at the CER Group in NCSR "Demokritos", along Dr. Georgios Paliouras and Dr. Alexander Artikis, where he completed his master thesis on Online Structure Learning Markov Logic Networks.

He is currently a PhD candidate at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens under the guidance of Professor Sergios Theodoridis, Dr. Georgios Paliouras and Dr. Alexander Artikis. He works on Machine Learning for Complex Event Recognition in the presence of uncertainty and his research interests are mainly focused on AI, Machine Learning, Statistical Relational Learning, Inductive Logic Programming and Optimization.
