Abstract: 

This project aims to create models for combining diverse data sources for data analysis suited to insurance and legal challenges. It will lead to the prototyping of novel solutions targeting insurance and legal experts, allowing them to make informed decisions by taking advantage of a multitude of open and proprietary data. Such data will include news feeds, social media, insurance sources and photographic evidence, as well as weather and other environmental data. More specifically, the objectives of this work are:
1.Establish novel models and frameworks to allow for the joint treatment of diverse data types (numer-ical, multimedia, and textual) in complex analytics scenarios.
2.Establish a testbed comprising diverse open data sources and appropriate baselines to facilitate trac-table and reproducible experimental evaluation.
3.Build and evaluate a prototype knowledge-base and assorted analytics tools, based on real data and user requirements
