The Bioethics Committee of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” met on October 12, 2015, and permitted to Dr. H. Papadopoulos to perform the proposed experiments, within the framework of the study entitled ReAAL (“Realising AAL Services in the Greek Territory”).
In the framework of ReAAL (http://www.cip-reaal.eu/home/) project, NCSR “Demokritos” will initiate the pilots program in cooperation with Region of Central Macedonia and Municipality of Kalamaria.
Services called “Assistance-at-home” and municipality’s own Open Protection Centers for the Elderly (“K.A.P.I”) will provide health support where necessary.
The main infrastructure that will be used is the web based AAL platform and applications that have been developed within previous EU projects. The municipalities that will participate in the project will use this developed web based infrastructure. These infrastructures will be complemented with the ReAAL apps and universAAL technologies.
