The Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications was honoured at the AI Report Excellences 2025 awards ceremony, for its long-standing, decisive, and impactful contribution to the teaching and advancement of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies.
The honorary plaque was presented by Stefanos Kollias, President of GRNET, and accepted on behalf of the Institute by Georgios Nounesis, Director and Chairman of the Board of NCSR Demokritos.
With strong participation from the public and private sectors, leading technology organisations, government representatives, and the academic community, the event showcased best practices in the use of Artificial Intelligence in Greece, honouring public institutions, companies, and research organisations for implementing digital solutions with tangible social, environmental and business impact.
The AI Report Excellences 2025 awards was organised by MetaTeam, publisher of AI Report magazine.
