The Cooperation agreement is for the doctorate program “Aplicaciones y Problemas Interdisciplinares de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones” (“Applications and interdisciplinary problems in ICT”).
The Technical School of Informatics at the University of Alcalá (http://www.cc.uah.es) is offering the doctorate program “Aplicaciones y Problemas Interdisciplinares de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones” (“Applications and interdisciplinary problems in ICT”). Both the School at the University of Alcalá and the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR “Demokritos” seek to strengthen their international activities, and to recognize the benefit of common and complementary aspects of their mutual research programs.
The aim of this cooperation agreement is to ease the mobility of lecturers in teaching and doing research, and to allow students of NCSR “Demokritos” to access doctoral studies at the University of Alcala. Both institutions establish the following priority research areas:
– Language Technologies
– Semantic Web Technologies
– Web Science
– Learning Technologies
– Applied Computational Intelligence
– ICT applications solving concrete domain-specific problems
Both institutions undertake a commitment to establish a permanent relationship and to collaborate in any aspect and task aimed at the quality improvement of the doctorate program. This commitment will be specially focused to the joint supervision of PhD theses according to specific agreements for the supervision of each thesis.
