The National Center for Scientific Research Demokritos participated in the high-profile International Defence and Security Exhibition “DEFEA 2023 – Defence Exhibition Athens” which was held on 9-11 May 2023 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens.

The Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications presented the research work of three European projects on technological defence systems:
- DIANA – NATO – Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic
- AINCEPTION – AI Framework for Improving Cyber Defence Operations
- FARADAI – Frugal & Robust AI for Defence Advanced Intelligence
Demokritos participated in the booth of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI), along with three more of the country’s top research centres:
- ATHENA − Research and Innovation Center in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies
- Centre for Research & Technology Hellas/CERTH
- Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas/FORTH

The exhibition was held under the support and assistance of the Ministry of National Defence and was organised in cooperation with the Hellenic Defence Material Manufacturers Association (HEMDA). Major Greek and international companies presented land, naval, aerospace, national and cyber security defence systems.
