A European Union distinction was awarded to the EIP on AHA- European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing initiative, coordinated by the eHealth Unit of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications of NCSR Demokritos, in collaboration with academic institutions, municipal authorities, small and medium-sized enterprises, and non-profit organisations active in the field of health. The European Commission awarded the Attica Reference Site (AHA4Attica) with the distinction of Reference Site 2* following the call for applications and inclusion as Reference Sites, in the framework of the 4th Call for Reference Sites of the RSCN.
A few words about Attica Reference Site (AHA4Attica)
The Attica Reference Site (AHA4Attica) is one of the 65 regional and local organizations joined in a group which is inspiring ecosystems bringing together health and care stakeholders in a quadruple helix coalition. The group focuses on an integrated, innovation-based and patient-centered approach to lifelong active and healthy aging and can provide tangible examples of positive impact.
