A new Horizon Europe project OASEES (Open Autonomous programmable cloud appS & smart EdgE Sensors) kicked off on the campus of NCSR Demokritos between 24-25 January 2023. The project which is coordinated by the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications held a two-day meeting, during which 21 partners had fruitful discussions about the project’s architecture & objectives as well as its overall vision.
Additionally, the meeting covered some other interesting topics, such as decentralised computing, secure Swarm programmability framework for edge devices, and leveraging various AI/ML accelerators (FPGAs, SNNs, Quantum) while supporting a privacy-preserving Object ID federation process.
The OASEES project aims to create a new programmability framework that will allow edge devices to work together in a decentralized and secure way, using advanced technologies such as AI/ML accelerators (FPGAs, SNNs, Quantum) and a privacy-preserving Object ID federation process.
