The General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (ΓΓΕΚ) has entrusted IIT at NCSR Demokritos with the development of its new website. On Wednesday 22 September 2021, Mr Lefteris Koukianakis, Head of the eGov Application Design & Development Team of the eGovernance Office at NCSR Demokritos presented the fresh design and capabilities of the new website to Mr C. Dimas, Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, at the Ministry of Development and Investments, and Mr A. Kyriazis, Secretary-General of Research and Innovation, who visited the premises of NCSR Demokritos for the official presentation of GSRI’s new website.
Dr G. Nounesis, Director & Chairman of the Board at NCSR Demokritos, Dr V. Karkaletsis, Director at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, Head of the eGovernance Office, as well as Directors of GSRI attended the session.
The renewed GSRI website provides visitors with information in a more direct, functional, and appealing manner. The previous website will be operational until the transfer of the data and uploaded information is completed.
Mr Dimas noted: “The development of a new website for GSRI was a necessity. I am certain that the effective dissemination of GSRI’s activities and European initiatives will elevate its work. My congratulations to NCSR Demokritos’s team and to the executives of GSRI for their efforts and swift work.”
Dr Karkaletsis, pointed out: “It was a pleasure for us to support GSRI and to contribute to the upgrade of its website. We consider this collaboration an opportunity for the eGov Application Design & Development Team to showcase its work and potential. The renewal of GSRI’s website, in a functional and aesthetically appealing level, is the starting point of a new presence for GSRI.”
