In a recent interview with Manufacturing Magazine, Dr Vangelis Karkaletsis, Director at the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR Demokritos, discussed the ambitious Pharos project and its role in advancing European AI Factories and AI-driven innovation. The project faces key challenges, including integration complexities and data security, which will be addressed through strategic collaboration and cutting-edge AI solutions across Europe on a National level.
The national consortium for Greece, comprising GRNET, NCSR Demokritos, NTUA and ATHENA Research Centre, will play a vital role in ensuring the project’s success. Their joint efforts will drive AI applications across healthcare, the Greek language, and cultural preservation. Additionally, Pharos aims to align with European initiatives, contributing to sustainability by tackling climate change and optimising natural resource management.
