Two H2020 projects, 5G ESSENCE and 5GENESIS of MNL lab supported the work of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) during the IMT-2020 5G IA Evaluation Group whose scope is the evaluation of the first 5G candidate Radio Interface Technologies (RITs) submitted by standardization organisations.
MNL Lab lead the process with Dr. Anastasios Kourtis and Dr. Harilaos Koumaras with the support of WiCom lab (Dr. Fotis Lazarakis) as members of the Group and contributed to the Final Evaluation Report which was submitted in February 2020 as a regular input to ITU-R WP5D meeting #34, organised in Geneva, Switzerland.
