SKEL Lab researcher Dr. George Petasis participated in the 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) which took place in Florence Italy from 28 July to 2 August 2019 representing APOLLONIS project.
In the frame of the main conference, Dr. Petasis co-organised the 6th Workshop on Argument Mining during which a best paper award was presented. The winning paper by Pablo Accuosto and Horacio Saggion was titled Transferring Knowledge from Discourse to Arguments: A Case Study with Scientific Abstracts.

The project “APOLLONIS: Greek Infrastructure for Digital Arts, Humanities and Language Research and Innovation” is implemented under the Action “Reinforcement of the Research and Innovation Infrastructure”, funded by the Operational Programme ”Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014-2020) and co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund).
