The Hackathon “Reimagining eHealth in Crete”, organized within the framework of the smartHEALTH European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), will take place on 9–10 May 2026, simultaneously in Heraklion, Crete, and Athens.
The two-day event will bring together multidisciplinary teams—including researchers, students, start-ups, SMEs and healthcare professionals—to develop innovative digital solutions addressing challenges in healthcare and wellness services. Participants will work on topics such as the use of health data, digital tools for clinical practice, and new approaches to health and wellness tourism.
Teams will have the opportunity to compete for awards and prizes, while benefiting from mentoring and support throughout the hackathon, with a focus on developing solutions with strong real-world impact.
Through this initiative, smartHEALTH EDIH continues to foster collaboration across the innovation ecosystem and support the adoption of advanced digital technologies in the health sector.
The Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications actively contributes to the implementation of this initiative within the framework of smartHEALTH EDIH.
Applications are open until 23 April 2026, via the platform.
