On 5 December 2022, Institute Researcher Dr Dimitris Kyriazanos, participated in the broadcasted event Cybersecurity Risks and Threats organised by the Network for Reform in Greece and Europe at the Armed Forces Officers’ Club.
Dr Kyriazanos talked about the people’s right to privacy and the increasing imminent threats with the convergence between the physical and the digital world. He also highlighted the tools and practices of Cybersecurity as well as the European acts and regulations for personal data protection. Regarding Cybersecurity he added that it is an ecosystem, that needs all the links of the chain to work together, in order to function properly. He finally pointed out that in a period of digital transformation where new technologies offer so many possibilities for progress and empowerment, people’s privacy is primarily connected with our comprehensive information and the right use of technology.

Before the event, on 3 December 2022, Dr Kyriazanos was also hosted by radio ERT (Hellenic Radio Television) in the broadcast “In Interaction” with Areti Bita, where he spoke about cybersecurity issues and provided info about the upcoming event.
