Dimitris Mavroeidis holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Informatics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has working experience both in industry and academia. He has worked as a software developer, intelligent spoken dialogue systems designer and developer, database systems designer and developer and natural language processing engineer in companies like Xerox, Intrasoft and Omilia. He has also worked as a researcher for the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) and co-founded the Cognitive Systems Research Institute (CSRI). He was a core member of the team developing META-SHARE, developed several machine translation systems, and built PRAXICON, an innovative semantic memory for artificial agents. His research interests include -among others- machine translation, classification and domain adaptation.
