George Apostolakos was born in Athens in 1982. He studied Mathematics with specialization in Computer Science (Patras University, GR) and moved on to study Fine Arts (Athens School of Fine Arts, GR), followed by the French/Hellenic Master Programme “Art, Virtual Reality and Multi-user Systems of Artistic Expression” (Athens School of Fine Arts – Paris 8 [pending degree]). He is an Interactive/Multimedia Designer, with extensive activity in Greece and France, while also practising his skills as a freelance professional musician, developer, graphic designer and visual artist. Currently, he is employed by the Integrated Systems Laboratory of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” as a Research Associate and a Developer, with focus on Educational/ Serious Games (eg. “Focus Locus” game for kids with ADHD), as well as assigned with the task of Risk Management and Quality Assessment for a European security project (“CIVILnEXt”).
