Konstantinos Panou was born in Athens, Greece in 1986. He received his BSc in Computer Science along with an MSc in Computer Security and Resilience from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He has worked as a backend software engineer for numerous companies and organizations from small software houses to large media corporations such as Trinity Mirror. Currently he is a research associate in the Integrated Systems Lab in the Institute of Informatics and Telecomunications in NCSR Demokritos where he is responsible for a wide range of software projects and is involved during all the stages of software development from requirements and design to implementation and testing. His interests lie on the area of architecting scalable and dependable systems along with many other areas such as Big Data ,Security and emerging web technologies.
