Lemonia Argyriou is a Postdoctoral Researcher at ISL NCSRD working as a Project Manager| Research Associate in R&I projects since December 2019. She holds a BSc from the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus focusing on Software Engineering & Intelligent Systems, an MBA in Engineering – Economical Systems Management from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Westminster in the field of Interactive Gamified Design of Immersive Video Experiences. She is also a certified tutor in UK Higher Education with teaching experience in Advanced Client-Side Development, Mobile User Experience and 2D Interactive Media Development.
In 2009 she started working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS – NTUA) in EU FP7 research projects (ISISEMD, My e-Director 2012 & SARACEN) in the areas of e-health and networked media integrated solutions. In April 2012 she joined CTVC Ltd. in London as a Technical Researcher working on the REVERIE FP7 project, part of the 3D, Immersive, Interactive Media Cluster. From June 2014 to February 2019, she was a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Geophysical-Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeoenvironment (GeoSat ReSeArch Lab) of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) contributing to the research and development of Cultural Heritage, Archaeological and Environmental digital solutions for national and EU funded projects (DynByzCrete, OTTPOL, Geocharacterization, STORM H2020).
Her research interests are in the areas of Virtual Reality, HCI, User Experience Analysis and Adaptive Interface Design, Serious Games and Gamified Design, and Immersive Video Applications.
