Papakostas Michalis

Michalis Papakostas is currently a Ph.D. candidate at NCSR Demokritos in cooperation with the University of Texas at Arlington. He has completed his Bachelor studies as an Electronics and Computer Engineer at Technical University of Crete. During his undergraduate Diploma Thesis he made an investigation on Adaptation Techniques of Continuous Density Language Models under the supervision of Prof. Vassilis Digalakis. Currently he works under the guidance of Prof. Nikolaos Mavridis developing Machine Vision techniques for the “Ibn Sina” humanoid robot. His interests are focused in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Vision, Data Mining, Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing.
