Ioanna Papoutsi is a Museologist at AiTHERION, an innovative cultural space that designs and presents exhibitions on Ancient Greek philosophy through cutting-edge technologies. She is also a collaborating researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications at NCSR “Demokritos”, and a member of the ARTIFACT (Artificial Intelligence for Culture) research group, which explores the intersection of technology and culture with a focus on technology-driven cultural experiences and advanced digitization of cultural heritage.
She has extensive professional experience in the cultural sector, having worked with private institutions, Ephorates of Antiquities, and Directorates of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. Her work has centered on museum learning and the integration of new technologies, including the design and implementation of educational programs in museums and archaeological sites. She has also developed educational material for students and teachers, created interactive educational games, authored exhibition texts, and contributed to exhibit design. Her research interests focus on the social role of museums, public participation in culture, and museum learning through digital technologies and innovative pedagogical approaches.
