Other European projects
January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018

NCSR budget: 245,482€

CY CISE mainly aims in the development of the Cypriot information sharing environment towards an integrated national maritime surveillance awareness, complying with the overall European CISE vision. It builds on the knowhow developed within the Hellenic CISE project (EASME/EMFF/2014/1.2.1.2/001) however having NO overlapping between the new intended actions with the action funded under MARE/2014/26 call for proposals. The proposed project will be consistent to existing regional information exchange systems operated by involved maritime authorities and complementary to the innovations developed within the FP7/EUCISE2020 project (where both NCSRD and HMOD are participating as WP Leaders), enhancing the national Cypriot capabilities which are required in order to complement and re-use the overall EU developments. CY CISE leverages on Hellenic CISE developments, uses them as background knowledge and goes one step forward by developing (i) One National Situational Picture Manager (NSPM) for Cyprus that will collect and aggregates maritime information from the seven Cypriot maritime Communities, (ii) One Cypriot CISE adaptor tailored to the needs of the seven Cypriot maritime Communities in Cyprus, including a test case of cross-border exchange of information with the Hellenic Ministry of Defence (HMOD), (iii) A customization of the existing Greek NSS CISE adaptor in order to test cross-border exchange of information.
