GREENET aims at the formation of a joint Training/Research Network focused on the analysis, design, and optimization of energy efficient wireless communication systems and networks. Specifically, all partners in the project will employ a number of Early Stage Researchers (ESR) each and will act cooperatively towards offering to the entire pool of recruited ESRs an integrated environment to shape their long-term research view and be acquainted with fundamental methodological tools on various research fields of current importance and relevance to energy efficient wireless communications (such as, cooperative communications, cognitive networks, network coding). The training activity and progress of individual ESRs will be monitored on different levels by the partners of the consortium, both within each research group and at the project level. Leading organizations from both the academic/research and industrial sectors are represented in the project’s consortium. The project runs under the Marie Curie Actions/ITN funding scheme of the FP7-PEOPLE programme.
