Mr Bampatsikos’ research focuses on utilizing the security properties of blockchain technology, namely constant data availability as well as integrity, to design and develop mechanisms that will reinforce the security of networks that comprise Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices. These devices help patients in their daily lives, take readings and produce huge amounts of data. Additionally, within the scope of this research is protecting the e-healthcare services that use these data. A second aspect of this research is using blockchain in participatory creativity. Specifically, blockchain and smart contracts can automate the trading and curation of digital content in participatory creativity.
